June 2020 News & Updates

Hopefully this note finds everyone doing well… and that you’ve started to enjoy your summers! Personally, some camping and hiking may be in my near future… 🙂

Here are some updates from over the past month:

  • Tamaulipas – we had a very good call with some government folks down in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. We’re still working our way through the various levels of bureaucracy, and will keep everyone posted with our progress.
  • Fundraising – these efforts continue on almost a daily basis, and we’re working on various grants and sponsorships. For example, one of the latest opportunities that we’re working is the Amazon Emergency Fund. Plus, others such as the Oak Foundation, the Lawrence Foundation and the Wallace Global Fund II. Wish us luck!
  • Bolivia-based Efforts – as you may have heard, our friends and partners in Bolivia are still very much in lock-down due to Covid-19. Efforts have slowed, specifically around taxes and corporate formation. But we’ll continue to push those activities forward, all the while wishing our friends in Bolivia good health.
  • Summer BBQ – the Pidola Team is working on a little BBQ here in Summit County later in June for our Board of Directors. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to connect with them in person, and we’re excited for some face-time!

As always, thank you for your support, and we’ll see you next month!
